Philip is a co-founder and Chairman of Frontier Rare Earths and has over 30 years’ experience at senior management and board level in the natural resource sector in both private and listed companies. He was a key member of the team that led the development of Frontier Rare Earths, including its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2010, the discovery and successful permitting of the Zandkopsdrift rare earth and battery grade manganese sulphate project in the South Africa, the introduction of the South Korean Government as a strategic partner to Zandkopsdrift, and the acquisition and development of the Nipacue graphite project and Mozambique.
Philip was previously a co-founder, Chief Executive and Chairman of Firestone Diamonds plc, which was listed on the AIM market in London and developed and operated diamond mines in South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho, and established exploration joint ventures with De Beers.
Philip is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from University College, Dublin and holds two postgraduate qualifications in Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Boston College, Massachusetts.
