Frontier is developing the Zandkopsdrift project in South Africa, which is expected to become one of the world’s largest and lowest cost new producers of magnet rare earths and battery grade manganese sulphate.
A Prefeasibility Study was completed in 2022 which confirmed the technical and financial viability of the project. Frontier is planning to commence a Definitive Feasibility Study in 2023
Target annual production of 17,000 tonnes of rare earths including 4,000 tonnes of magnet rare earths and 100,000 tonnes of battery grade manganese sulphate
Frontier plans to commence a Definitive Feasibility Study in 2024 with first production targeted to commence in 2028
